PAVONE Project Management 10 - Focus on Improving Planning and Resource Management

Paderborn / Frankfurt, Germany – PAVONE AG, the GBS Enterprises business unit for the optimization of business processes has just released "PAVONE Project Management 10", the latest version of their project management solution. The new release features two key improvements: the completely revised PAVONE ProjectBuilder for graphic modeling of projects and the multi-histogram for cross-project capacity management. “This new version provides companies with very powerful tools that allow them to avoid capacity constraints and improve the structure of a project", says Björn Reinhold, Head of Product Management at PAVONE AG.
The new PAVONE ProjectBuilder is used to define a project’s processes as well as their order of execution. In addition, the tool allows to add reporting structures to specific operations as well as to include procedural models and project manuals. PAVONE ProjectBuilder features an integrated search function to retrieve any properties of project-specific processes and search through related documents. Also, a new analysis tool enables the user to identify potential failures in advance, during the project planning phase. To this end, unique error designations enable project managers to understand the problems identified and take necessary actions as required. Finally, the new PAVONE ProjectBuilder version is rounded off by a modern, automatic online update feature.
With the new multi-histogram, the new version of the PAVONE Project Management software provides project and department managers with a central tool for corporate-wide resource management. Providing graphic reports on the workload of individual employees and entire project teams across several projects, it allows to determine and optimize the workload of individual persons, several team members as well as entire departments. “This effectively puts an end to overloads and costly conflicts of interests between different projects, as with the multi-histogram, this kind of issue can already be prevented in the planning stage", Björn Reinhold explains.
But with the new PAVONE Project Management version, the workflow solution provider goes even further. In the future, PAVONE ProjectBuilder will not only run under IBM Lotus Notes/Domino platforms, but also as web-based project management solution PAVONElive in the cloud.
