The Groupware Competence Center (GCC), founded 1991 at the University of Paderborn and led by Prof. Dr. Ludwig Nastansky, is mainly engaged with the investigation and prototypic development of collaborative technologies. As a result of this activity and the consequential transfer of technology several spin-offs have been building up since the founding, further developing the concepts within a commercial framework. As an example GCC created the conceptual basis and first prototypes of IBM Lotus Workflow from 1992 to 1994.

GCCs outstanding scientific qualification became documented by international research projects and successfully accomplished projects with industrial partners like Allianz, Daimler, Deutsche Telekom, IBM, VEW Energie or Siemens.

As an expert for J2EE/WFE (ICCP engine) the University of Paderborn is an excellent partner for developing the process engine of ICCP.

In coopeartion with Prof. Dr.-Ing. habil. Wilhelm Dangelmaier, also University of Paderborn, the connection to project management and supply chain management systems will becarried into execution.
